My Days With Vernon Lee and Other Days Between is a spatial mapping of a virtual interaction that took place over a period of five months. What started as a curiosity about who Vernon Lee Evans was and why he had a website became a personal interest and virtual interaction. My visits with Vernon were documented by collecting images at Salzberg Airport webcam site and taking photographs outof my studio window. When unable to visit the site I documented my daily travels. Vernon Lee became a daily focus for me and the conscious act of collecting images became my means of marking my time with Vernon. The collection of images lead to this body of work.

The collection of images, when processed, spatially map what otherwise would be unrecorded actions. The accumulated imagery marks a personal yet virtual involvement in another person's life. When I came across Vernon's website he was a man on death row. The five months I spent at Vernon's site were at times tense and anxious, especially while waiting for word of a stay of execution (which did come at the last minute), and during the anticipatory three months before his death sentence was overturned to life in prison.
