A Place Not Too Far From Forever

"A Place Not Too Far From Forever" (2017) presents a view of a landscape constructed by superimposing three different landscapes into one. It is a view from the edge of a place that is perhaps known and unknown all at once, and is ongoing and continuous. Over time, the perception of the space changes, what is perceived as positive space (cloud) becomes negative space (space between clouds), and vice-versa. I consider this work like a moving digital painting that is continual, with no beginning and no end. The superimposition of different places into one functions similar to how memory reconstructs experiences of different places into one new memory place.
